MACKINAC ISLAND & the GREAT LAKES
7 DAYS & 6 NIGHTS
SEPTEMBER 4 – 10, 2017
$1,150.00 per person / double occupancy
Mackinac Island is a beautiful spot a short ferry ride off the shores of eastern Michigan.
Once you arrive on this lovely island you are transported back to a simpler, quieter time where the drone of combustion engines is replaced with the clip clop of horses hooves or the occasional ringing of a bicycle bell.
We will spend two nights on this island at a fine hotel on the shores of Lake Huron known as the “Lakeview Hotel”.
We will enjoy a horse drawn carriage tour of the island one day with a visit to the famous Grand Hotel and the Grand Luncheon at the Grand Hotel.
After an enjoyable stay on the island, we will travel a little further north to enjoy the Soo Locks Boat Tour on Lake Huron and Lake Superior after which, we will return to Mackinaw City for another night along the shores of Lake Huron.
Turning for home, we will pay a visit to Michigan’s “ Little Bavaria ”,Frankenmuth and stop into Bronner’s Christmas Village as well.
Continuing for home, we will visit and tour the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan.
This museum offers a fascinating look at America and the important role the automobile has played in the history of this great country.
Along with our tours and attractions, we have included 9 meals;
(6) Breakfasts, (1) Lunch and (2) Dinners
