This great tour features the incredible National Parks of America’s Southwest.
Traveling through 10 states, we will visit and tour sights including;
Gateway Arch in St. Louis; Inside the arch is a great museum about the movement to and settlement of the West.
Tram ticket to the top of the arch is included.
In Colorado Springs we will visit; the Garden of the Gods where 300′ high sandstone rock formations stand with the snow-capped Pike’s Peak and brilliant blue skies as a wonderful backdrop, the 800 – 1,000 year old Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings of the ancient Anasazi and the beautiful campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a great visitor’s center and the impressive Cadet Chapel at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
Arches National Park in Moab, Utah; This timeless natural landscape of giant stone arches, including Arch Rock which is viewed on most of the advertising to encourage people to visit Utah and many incredible rock formations that were once the bed of an ancient sea will have you using up all of your data to take pictures.
Monument Valley on the Utah/Arizona border; Enjoy a covered jeep ride into this area of immense mesas, buttes and pinnacles of raw sandstone which was the favorite filming location of John Huston and John Wayne and can be seen in so many of the older western movies.
Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona; This beautiful canyon of red rock, just south of Flagstaff, Arizona is known throughout the country for its picturesque landscape and the quaint community of Sedona.
Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona; No matter how many times you see this natural wonder, it is unbelievably amazing and breath-takingly awesome.
Hoover Dam; Enjoy a guided tour of one of mankind’s greatest wonders which holds back the waters of the Colorado River and supplies energy to a large portion of the western United States.
Zion National Park in Utah; The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive through this park features massive formations of extreme vertical rock resembling huge cathedrals and thrones. Along with Lake West Temple, the Temple of Sinawava and the Emerald Pools, this is a fascinating drive.
Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah; This park includes some of the earth’s most colorful rocks and the fascinating formations known as the hoodoos.
