This tour features the great beauty and historic wealth of one of America’s most talked about destinations, “Cape Cod”. Summertime is the best time to enjoy this wonderful destination.
Included in this tour are the following sights and tours.
Boston: A step-on-guided tour of this historic city covers over 250 years of American history. From the Old South Meeting House where the colonists organized the “Boston Tea Party” to Fenway Park where the Red Sox rule, this promises to be an entertaining and interesting tour.
Plymouth Rock: Don’t be expecting the Rock of Gibraltar here. Although Plymouth Rock is not very large, it does lay where the Mayflower pilgrims landed to settle Plymouth Colony in 1620.
Provincetown: This vibrant village lies on the very tip of Cape Cod. This is where the Mayflower pilgrims first made land fall before moving across the bay to Plymouth. Today it is something of an artist’s colony which explains it’s exuberant style and energy.
Cape Cod National Seashore: The sand dunes and sweeping ocean vistas are a delight to Cape Cod visitors anytime of the year.
JFK MEMORIAL and the JFK HYANNIS MUSEUM
Hyannis: This is the commercial and transportation hub of Cape Cod. The Kennedy family loved this area enough to build a compound here overlooking the bay where John loved to sail.
Martha’s Vineyard: A one-hour ferry ride from Hyannis lands us in Oak Bluffs on the northern shore of Martha’s Vineyard. A narrated bus tour of the island from the ginger- bread cottages of Oak Bluffs to the island’s biggest town of Edgartown is filled with beautiful sights and interesting history.
Newport, Rhode Island: This New England summer resort town in known for its historic mansions and rich sailing history. Enjoy a step on guided tour of this area with interesting background information and free time to enjoy the dockside restaurants and shops.
