The Amish are a very intriguing and welcoming people. October is a great time to visit as the pumpkins and apples are being harvested.
We will tour the countryside with a step on guide while she fills us in on the simple lifestyle of the people and takes us to visit a local home business or two. We will also visit the Amish Farm and Home where we will experience a behind-the-scenes look at daily life in the area.
On the way to Lancaster County, we will visit the Gettysburg Battlefield and Museum. This museum is filled with interesting exhibits and memorabilia about this infamous battle that was so instrumental in turning the tide of the Civil War.
Along with our museum visit, we will also enjoy the services of a certified battlefield guide who will board our motor coach and carry us to different areas of the battlefield pointing out how these skirmishes developed and transpired.
While in the Amish country, we will attend a presentation of The Story of David at Sight & Sound Theater.
Taken from his people and exiled to the powerful kingdom of Babylon, Daniel remains steadfast in his trust of the one true God.
From the fiery furnace to the den of lions, Daniel is a spectacular theatrical experience presented as only the people of Sight and Sound are capable.
